On our way to Austin, we went through Fredericksburg, TX. I loved it so much I told Caleb we had to go back. What I loved about Fredericksburg – Dinner at Otto’s where I had a traditional sausage plate and Caleb had the duck schnitzel with this incredibly light spatzle and rotkohl . Heaven! Lunch at Cranky Frank’s BBQ. I’m from St. Louis and this place had hands down the best BBQ ribs I have ever had! Amazing! Caleb had the marbled brisket that melted in your mouth.
If this trip is looking more and more like a food review, it is! We are officially eating our way across America.
To wrap up our time in Fredericksburg we went to a concert in Luckenbach, TX at the dance hall and listened to some down home Texas Country music.
